At Bicester Dental Care, we provide a full range of NHS services and treatments and are very happy to see all members of your family. From experience, we know that good oral hygiene habits are best learned at a young age, so we welcome babies and young children in our surgeries.

We are required by the NHS to charge patients for their dental treatments. These fees are determined by the NHS and depend on the treatments you need. However, some patients are exempt from the charges and include:

• Patients under the age of 18
• Patients who are under 19 but still in full time education
• Expectant mothers
• Nursing mothers
• Others receiving various low-income benefits

There are three standard charges for all NHS dental treatments:

Band 1 – £23.80

Treatment covers: an examination, diagnosis and care to prevent problems if necessary, X-rays, scale and polish and planning for more treatment

Band 2 – £65.20

Treatment covers: all necessary treatment covered by band 1 and treatment such as fillings, root-canal treatments or extractions.

Band 3 – £282.30

Treatment covers: all necessary treatment covered by band 1 and 2, and more complicated procedures such as crowns, dentures or bridges
